Sunday Services

10.30-11.45am and 6.30-7.45pm

Sunday mornings at CCB are quite a buzz with people of all ages joining in and catered for.

The first 20 minutes of our time together will often include some modern worship songs, a family talk, family news, and a children's song or two. Then it is usually time for the babies, toddlers, children & teenagers to go to their own groups where depending on their age they play, sing, do drama, craft and have discussions based on Bible passages and relevant themes.

Bible

The Bible is always at the heart of the adult time too and we will read and reflect on one or two passages to see how they are relevant for our life today. The best of old and new songs and hymns are accompanied by a range of musicians and instruments, including traditional organ for those classic hymns.Bakau

Engagement with the wider world is very important to us at Christ Church and our meetings always include a time of prayer for local, national and international issues.

Coffee & Tea are usually served to finish the morning providing a good opportunity to chat, catch up and get to know people.

Sunday evenings are usually quieter with smaller numbers. This often provides an important space in our busy lives. Evenings are generally geared for adults and will include bible reading and reflection, prayer, hymns and a few worship songs.

From time to time we will have a CafĂ© Service or Praise Service in the evening, as well as other special or different meetings so please check our diary page for details.

Communion

Jesus told his followers to remember him with bread & wine as symbols of his death on the cross. The new life we have in Jesus comes at a cost to him and a commitment from us. Communion reminds us of the centrality of the cross of Jesus for real change in our lives and our world.

Window CrossWe share communion which for us is ordinary bread and non-alcoholic wine on the 1st Sunday evening, 2nd Friday afternoon at 2pm, and 3rd Sunday morning each month. Two or three times a year we share All Age Communion where children have the opportunity to find out more about and be part of this important aspect of our life together.
